Once upon a time...
A cyclist found himself with a flat tire while traveling through the historic city of Lake Geneva, WI. As he wandered around looking for a bike shop to help with his repair, he got lost in the beauty and magic of the town: the history, the energy, the essence....
While his bike was being repaired he stopped by a coffee shop and gazed out the window noticing other cyclist lost in the shuffle; he thought “if only there was a community for the traveling cyclist, a place to rest; to take a moment and sit back over a hot cup of coffee, to meet the locals, and to call home.” That thought materialized and...
Avant Cycle Cafe was born! Come and enjoy a warm cup of coffee, a kind conversation, and maybe a bike repair.
Our Cafe Manager, Andrew, came to Avant Cycle Cafe with all the right talents to bring the coffee shop to life.
When Don joined the team, the bike shop smiled. Don has extensive experience and knowledge in the cycling world. Come on in and chat with him on anything bike.
In 2022, after the pandemic, while the bike shortage was still strong, we met up with Kyle in Woodstock and Pete in LaGrange. These mechanics add their special talents to the team. We are so happy to have them here!
